Don Taggart:    Topic:  Our Handbook, our Treasure

 Don joined the Legion of Mary in 1963 at the age of 20. He served as an officer for all of his time in the Legion -including 3 terms as President of the Philadelphia Senatus.  He is currently the Secretary in his praesidium, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Athanasius Parish in Philadelphia, where he had been a member for the past 30 years. For many years Don took care of the subscriptions and supplies of the Maria Legionis Magazine with a few volunteers that includes his wife Joan before turning it over this year to our current publisher and distributor.

Edel Lukens:     Topic:  Venerable Edel Quinn: A Model of Holiness

Edel Lukens grew up in a Legion family and has been an active member of the Legion for 53 years. She served as an officer of the Philadelphia Senatus for over twenty years, including three terms as president. Her parents, Bill and Mary Peffley, were instrumental in the start and growth of the Legion in the Philadelphia area and her brother, Fr. Fran Peffley, is spiritual director of the Arlington Senatus. Edel is a retired Math professor and Academic Advisor. She, her husband Steve, and their son Robert are officers of "Mary, Hope for the Future" praesidium in Norristown and parishioners of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bridgeport, a parish of the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter.
